I love to talk about science.
- I won the Young Marsilius Fellow Program for Interdisciplinarity and Science Communication (Marsilius Kolleg, Heidelberg) in 2025/26.
- With other astronomy graduate students, I co-host the podcast astro[sound]bites since July 2024.
- I produced popular science videos (see on Youtube) while at DESY Zeuthen for an internship in the public relations office in 2020.
- I won the science slam of the Dr. Hans-Riegel Foundation in 2019 with my talk about neutrino astronomy.
- I spent many school-time summers in the Astronomisches Sommerlager, a youth astronomy summer camp. Later, I became head of the organising committee (2018-2020) and was a board member of the Vereinigung der Sternfreunde. In 2023, I launched the Youth-Letter, an which brings astronomy news and event notices to young people. I was also editor for the youth section of the Journal für Astronomie.
- Netzwerk Teilchenwelt organises Masterclasses, where pupils can explore particle physics with real experimental data. I’ve been teaching these Masterclasses for several years. Now that I am at the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, I adapted them for the Girl’s Day. Previously, I gave one-week courses at the Erlanger Schülerforschungszentrum.
- I occasionally write popular science articles, including for weltmaschine.de, Sterne und Weltraum, and MINT Zirkel (e.g. 2020, 1). I was part of the project 175 Impulse of the German Physical Society.
